PAVASAL RESEARCHES A NEW SMART PAVEMENT
Research and development project of a new smart pavement composed of optical fibre to identify the deformations caused by vehicles.
With PAVASAL EMPRESA CONSTRUCTORA, S.A.’s strategy of favouring the sustainable development of new products, and meeting market needs by excellence in its quality, it has established a strategy, with the main objective focused on developing a new smart pavement based on optical fibre photon technology, which is precise, efficient and long-lasting, capable of assessing the condition of the road surfaces in real time without the need to stop vehicle traffic for said purpose and, hence, establish specific maintenance plans for every pavement in question. At this time, one of the most important lines is the project titled “RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW SMART PAVEMENT COMPOSED OF OPTICAL FIBRE FOR THE IDENTIFICATION OF DEFORMATIONS CAUSED BY VEHICLES”, which will be developed between 01/10/2018 and 30/09/2020 in its facilities in Valencia, with the collaboration of the Valencia Polytechnic University and which has obtained the support of CDTI within its RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS PROGRAMME, by the granting of a subsidy, partially refundable with interests, of up to 332,682.47 euros, over a total budget accepted by CDTI of 571,423.00 euros. This subsidy is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Multiregional Operational Programme for Spain 2014-2020.
Project co-financed by the European Union through the Operational Programme of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the Comunitat Valenciana 2014-2020.
