1940s and 1950s: establishment and initial years.
PAVASAL was established in 1943 by José Luis de Quesada Pérez, with the name of Pavimentos de Asfalto y Alquitrán José Luis de Quesada. Successor of a small family-run tar distillery that provided it with the raw material, the company entered road paving during the post-war period.
1960s and 1970s: times of growth.
Thanks to the entrepreneurial, tenacious and innovative character of its founder, the company evolved during the 1950s and 1960s, incorporating technical advances that were cutting edge in Europe and positioning itself as a Spanish benchmark in roads and paving.
With the bold purchase in 1962 of the first hot asphalt manufacturing plant, and those that followed, the company positioned itself among the main Spanish asphalt mixture manufacturers.
1980s and 1990s: Pavasal extends its activity to civil works and becomes consolidated in the sector.
In the 1980s and 1990s, PAVASAL increased its horizons, undertaking major civil projects. This meant an important qualitative leap and the final push to become a major company in its sector in the Comunitat Valenciana.
2000s and 2010s: the company diversifies its businesses. Pavasal Group is created.
The change of century brought with it new business lines, such as industrial and logistics construction, and diversification through the creation of new specialised companies in fields such as mobility, building, energy and water.
